Christian has been the Managing Partner at Peter Gast Shipping GmbH since 2000. In 1988, Christian launched his career with an apprenticeship as a Schifffahrtskaufmann at H. Schuldt Shipping Company, then gaining international experience during a year in London with Harper Petersen. Since 1991, he has been part of his family’s business, Peter Gast Shipping. With a strong passion for S&P, newbuilding brokerage, recycling, and special projects, he brings a wealth of experience and an extensive network that spans well beyond Europe.

Tobias started his career in the maritime industry with an apprenticeship as a Schifffahrtskaufmann at Peter Gast Shipping GmbH in 2006.
With extensive experience as a broker, he has successfully concluded numerous newbuilding projects, sale and purchase transactions, and vessel chartering deals since 2008.
His strong network with shipyards and shipowners, combined with his expertise in ship finance, diplomatic brokerage, and contract negotiations, makes him a valuable asset to our team, ensuring tailored solutions for our clients in a dynamic shipping market.
Alexander Gast

Alexander brings over 15 years of experience in the shipping industry, including 10 years onboard experience. In 2022 he became Master Mariner.
Prior to joining Peter Gast Shipping, Alexander worked at Hapag-Lloyd. He holds a MSc in business and industrial engineering with stations in Lübeck, Bern and Zürich as well as a BSc in Nautical Science from Flensburg University of Applied Sciences.
Alexander is responsible for the technical ship repair, retrofitting and conversion projects as well as Green Recycling, and has responsibility for Peter Gast Schiffahrtsregatta.

Nick has over 20 years of experience in the shipping industry, he specializes in project cargo, sea freight, and ship management.
Since 2023, Nick has been responsible for selecting and negotiating with shipyards, coordinating shipyard stays, and ensuring the completion of work within the agreed timeframe and budget. He also manages customer relations and oversees the quality of the repairs.
Nick holds a BA in Product Design Engineering from Strathclyde University in Glasgow, where he studied from 1999 to 2003.

Sanem holds a Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Business Administration from Dokuz Eylul University, Türkiye. Throughout her career, she gained extensive experience in the maritime industry - working in shipowner company, cargo ports, and logistics firms.
Sanem has been working as a Ship Repair Broker at Peter Gast Shipping since 2022, coordinating repair projects and providing the clients efficient and reliable services.

Andrea has been an integral part of Peter Gast Shipping since 2005, bringing a strong foundation in finance and accounting to the team.
Prior to joining, she honed her skills as a tax specialist at a consultancy firm. With her deep expertise and attention to detail, Andrea supports the financial and operational efficiency of PGS.

Noah joined Peter Gast Shipping in February 2025, bringing with him hands-on experience gained at sea aboard bulk carriers for Orion Reederei.
As he rotates through various departments, Noah is deepening his understanding of the maritime industry and developing a well-rounded skill set. A passionate sailor in his free time, he brings genuine enthusiasm and dedication to his work in shipping.
